Announcement of a lawsuit to be filed on Wednesday, July 28, in United States District Court for the District of Minnesota against Gospel Crusades, Inc., Gospel Crusade Ministerial Fellowship and Dr. Gerald Derstine, Gospel Crusade's Founder and Chairman of the Board. The lawsuit stems from the alleged recruiting, grooming and subsequent sexual abuse and exploitation of an 11 year‐old minor female from Minnesota by Dr. Derstine. The abuse took place at Gospel Crusades' Strawberry Lake Christian Retreat in Northern Minnesota over a period from August 2007 to July 2009.

Dr. Gerald Derstine is an internationally known apostolic leader and the Founder/Chairman of Gospel Crusade Inc., Gospel Crusade Ministerial Fellowship, Strawberry Lake Christian Retreat, and Overseer for the Institute of Ministry Schools at the Florida, Minnesota, and New York Retreat Centers.

Prominent clergy sex abuse attorneys Jeff Anderson and Mike Finnegan will disclose and discuss documents that show a top Vatican official taking virtually no action against a fugitive predator priest. Father Joseph Jeyapaul, who has been criminally charged with molesting young girls, is facing extradition to Roseau County, Minnesota and facing a civil lawsuit. In spite of all this, he apparently has been promoted to oversee dozens of parochial schools in the Diocese of Ootacamund in India.

Doe vs. Holy See (State of the Vatican City)and highlighted in a page one story in the New York Times. The Documents seriously undermine the Pope’s credibility by revealing that the Pope and top aide kept 150 sex allegations vs. predator secret in 1998, and rebuffed 3 bishops who wanted the pedophile priests ousted.
